FRANCAISEvelyne Jacq a travaillé pendant plus de 20 ans en tant que photographe de presse freelance pour le grand quotidien Néerlandais le NRC Handelsblad, (comparable au journal Le Monde en France), ainsi que pour les agences de photos Néerlandaises Hollandse/Hoogte et ANP.
Française expatriée aux Pays-Bas, c'est dans le Finistere, ou ses racines paternelles sont ancrées, qu'elle trouve le calme et l'espace necessaires pour se consacrer à une autre photographie.
Elle se laisse guider par l'art du hasard.
Au hasard de ses randonnées, elle se délivre des priorités et contraintes journalistiques de la photo de presse. Son appareil photo, un compagnon de route de longue date, lui permet de fixer le hasard des lignes, des compositions, des formes qui croisent son regard.
C'est ce regard qu'elle aime désormais partager avec le public.

Evelyne Jacq has worked for more than 20 years as a freelance press photographer for National Dutch newspapers and the Dutch Photo Agencies Hollandse/Hoogte and ANP. As french expat in the Netherlands, it is in the French region Finistere, where her father's roots are, that she nowadays finds the rest and space necessary for another type of photography. Guided by "l'art du hasard", she frees herself from the constraints and stress of journalistic photographic work. Guided by chance, together with her photo camera, she captures lines, compositions, structures which she likes to share with her audience.
NEDERLANDS
Evelyne Jacq heeft ruim 20 jaar ervaring als persfotografe voor onder meer NRC Handelsblad, NRC Next en Foto-persbureau Hollandse Hoogte. In Bretagne, waar als Française haar wortels liggen, vindt ze de rust en ruimte om zich uitsluitend te richten op autonome fotografie. Ze zoekt " l'art du hasard ", de kunst van het toeval. Daarin is ze bevrijd van het primaat van het ene beslissende moment, zoals dat geldt in de fotojournalistiek: dat ene gebaar van de omstreden politicus, de bal die net van een schoen vertrekt, de blik van de zegevierende zakenman. Het toeval brengt haar lijnen, composities, vormen die ze zich toeëigent en waar ze de kijker deelgenoot van maakt. Zij werkt afwisselend in Frankrijk en in Nederland.
